Hey Bill, I had this motor in a 10lb 72" Extra on a 18x8 Xoar pulling 75 amps and 17 1/2 lbs of static thrust at 8000rpm on 3900 mah 20c batteries. You are really babying this motor. Temps at the windings never got over 130deg F even on a hot day. I have since sold the 72 and will be using this motor in a Wind 110e pattern plane weighing 9lbs with the 18x8 or 17x10. I agree, at 12oz, this is a great motor.
