This Next Level 650mm Hex Rotor Combo Kit is the high power system featuring Cobra 2221/16 motors that is designed for pilots that want to sport fly their Hex-Rotor craft and have enough power to install a larger camera and FPV Gear. For pilots that simply want to sport fly their quad without adding FPV gear or other additional options, you should use select the 650 Hex Standard Power Combo Kit that is also available on our site.

This Combo Kit contains all of the parts needed to assemble the 650mm Hex Rotor frame, except for the battery, receiver and Flight Controller Board, which need to be purchased separately.

With a 3-cell Li-Po battery pack, at 11.1 volts under load, the Cobra 2221/16 motor turning GemFan 11x4.7 props will produce the following performance numbers at full throttle:

Amps - 20.7
Watts - 230
RPM - 7100
Thrust - 1295 grams, 45.7 ounces
Pitch Speed - 32 MPH

Six of these motors together will produce a total of 7770 grams or 274 ounces of combined thrust at full throttle.

To maintain good maneuverability and performance, we recommend that the maximum flying weight of this setup should be no more than 60% of the total available thrust. For this power system, that would be 165 ounces maximum take-off weight.




Also included in the Combo Kit is a 6-to-1 Power Harness that allows you to run all 6 speed controllers from one battery. The power harness has a male Deans type power connector on one end, and a set of 6 3.5mm Male and Female bullet connectors at the other end. In addition to the bullet connectors, there is a male JST power connector for providing power to other items such as FPV gear or LED Nav lights.
